Haha, i actually read the same question in a faq on some site ! The answer is: to Edward, blood that Bella looses during her periods is 'dead', so he's not attracted at all to it. But like any other guy he does feel unconfortable.

"Several girls wanted to know if Edward would have a more difficult time being around Bella when she’s having her period. Answer: Yes, a little bit, but he would never say anything about it–much too much of a gentleman. And Bella would be way to embarrassed to ask. (It’s not the same as a cut, though. It’s sort of "dead" blood, if you get my meaning)." - Stephenie Meyer

That's interesting...

"What a stupid lamb."
"What a sick and masochistic lion."

Yes, I tought about it but I can't agree with some opinions that the period blood is "dead".
It's as fresh as the one from any wound
" Love is a magnificent disaster: to know your going into a wall and nevertheless to speed up; rush to a destruction with a smile on your face; to pryingly wait for a moment when everything is going to crumble. Love is the only programmed disappointment , the only predictive accident that we ask for over and over again"

I actually thought about this same question with Moonlight! How can women being on their periods not affect vampires? I guess it's something that authors and directors will not discuss, but feel free to write a fanfic on it if you want!!

aha, intresting. You would think it would affect him. The blood should still be as fresh as if it came from a cut.
